Whitney Johnson – President

Whitney has a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Nutrition with a specialization in Dietetics and a minor in Exercise Science from Central Washington University. Whitney completed her Dietetic Internship with Iowa State University distance abroad option with a rotation in Ghana. Whitney has 9 years of professional experience working in Senior Nutrition. Whitney is responsible for completing initial, high risk, and annual nutrition assessments over the phone or in the home with Meals on Wheels clients, writes articles for the Homage insert in the Everett Herald newspaper, provides one-on-one nutrition education, creates and presents nutrition education and food demonstrations in a group setting. Whitney is also a certified leader for the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program and is a member of the safety committee team at Homage.

Gary Bye – Vice President

Gary is Executive Director of FISH Food Bank in Ellensburg, WA. He has worked in the non-profit sector for the last 14 years and is also on the following committees, the WA State Summer Food Service Advisory Committee, the WA State Food Assistance Advisory Committee, the WA Connection Advisory Committee, The Medically Tailored Meal Coalition of Washington State and is a Meals on Wheels America National Advocacy in Action member. Gary graduated from the National Food is Medicine Accelerator in 2024.

Eden Qi – Treasurer

“Leijie (Eden) Qi is a Registered Dietitian at Sound Generations, working with the Community Dining Program to promote healthy, inclusive nutrition services. Her work focuses on supporting the well‑being of older adults through community‑based dining experiences and nutrition education.”
